The Riverside Lady Rebels lost to Brookland 63-61 in senior girls' action Monday night. The Lady Rebels led Brookland 13-12 after the first quarter of play and again by one 26-25 at the half. Brookland tied the game by the end of the third quarter 37-37.
Riverside was led by Keryn Douglas with 25 points. Amanda Churchill came off the bench and scored 17 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for the Lady Rebels. Others scoring for Riverside were Miranda Stephens eight; Amanda Dunigan five; Hailey Faulkner four and Miranda Boyd with two points.
Sara McKay led all players with 30 points and Lindsey Harmon added 12.
The Lady Rebels are now 11-7 on the year.
Samantha Dunigan scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Riverside rolled over Brookland 35-14 in junior girls' basketball. Riverside led throughout the game to improve their record 8-7.
Jona Dixon added seven points and Emma Wilson had six points. Magan Adams, Emilee Hook, Marissa Johnson, Shelby Miller and Kelsey Turner each contributed two points. Kassie Douglas added one point.
In seventh grade girls' action the Riverside Lady Rebels cruised past Brookland 40-6.
Christina Ferrara scored a game high 16 points and Kelsey Turner added 10. Kasey Davis and Jamie Lawrence each contributed four points followed by Robin Anderson, Kassie Douglas and Amber Murphy with two points each.
