Virgie L. Poe - Traverse City, Mich.

Virgie L. Poe, 86, of Traverse City, Mich., died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at Munson Medical center in Traverse City. Born at Holcomb, Mo., she was a former resident of the Leachville area.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Poe of Hot Springs and Michael Poe of Honor, Mich.; three daughters, Sue Sheffield of Beulah, Mich., Mary Roach of Judsonia and Paulette Poe of Stanwood, Mich.; five sisters, Beatrice Ward of Caraway, Gledis Hester of Manila, Mary Thomason of Leachville and Allene Holland and Deloris Etheridge, both of Grandhaven, Mich.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Poe; her parents, William and Nancy Woods; a daughter, Carolyn Poe; and a brother.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today (Monday) at Howard Funeral Service in Leachville with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial will follow at Leachville Cemetery.
