J.D. Gibson - Lake City

J.D. Gibson, 82, of Lake City died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at his home. He was a retired farmer and a member of Providence Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Gibson of Lake City; three daughters, Shirley Gibson, Delores Gibson and Mary Kay Gibson, all of Lake City; four sons, L.D. Gibson of Trumann, Ronnie Gibson of Jonesboro, Larry Gibson of Lake City and Terry Gibson of Forrest City; a sister, Katherine Jones of Arlington, Texas; a brother, Hubert Gibson of Jonesboro; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Friday at Langford's Funeral Service Chapel in Jonesboro with Rev. Leland Worlow and Rev. Larry Pendegraft officiating. Burial was in Pine Log Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mark Travis, Barry Vincent, Ryan Harris, David Fletcher, Jimmy Griffin and Dean Boyd.

Honorary pallbearers were David Mote, Mike Coles, Guy Spencer, Kevin Hoke and members of the providence Baptist Church Adult Men's Class.
