Riverside girls downed by CRA
The Riverside Senior High Girls' basketball team lost to Crowley's Ridge Academy 52-36 at Lake City Monday night. The Lady Rebels were leading after the first quarter 10-9, but were behind five at the half 20-15.
Riverside was led by Miranda Stephens with 12 points. Chelsea Couch, Amanda Dunigan, Hailey Faulkner, and Amanda Milligan each contributed six points.
Casey Honeycutt led all players with 18 points for CRA. Jenna McDaniel added 12 and Kara Colburn had 10 for CRA.
The Riverside Junior high girls' basketball team lost to CRA 35-32 Monday night. Riverside was ahead 11-5 after the first quarter but trailed the Lady Falcons for the remainder of the game.
Samantha Dunigan had 17 points, eight rebounds and five steals for the Lady Rebels. Emilee Hook had six points seven rebounds, followed by Jona Dixon with six points and five steals. Magan Adams added two points and Marissa Johnson contributed one point and pulled down 10 rebounds.
CRA was led by Hailey Montgomery with 12 points.
In seventh grade girls' action Monday night Riverside lost to CRA 25-21. The Lady Rebels started slow by trailing CRA 6-2 in the first quarter but by half time were leading 13-8.
Kasey Davis and Shelby Miller each contributed six points for Riverside. Christina Ferrara and Kelsey Turner each had three points. Jamie Lawrence added two, followed by Robin Anderson with one.
Carissa Foshee led all players with 13 points for CRA.
