Betty Contrella - Manila

Betty Contrella, 78, of Manila, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002. She had battled lymphomas cancer for four years. She was born Nov. 25, 1924, in Manila, the daughter of Cecil and Nettie McCullough.

She is survived by her sons, Danny Brown and Thomas Brown, her daughter-in-law, Harriet Brown; granddaughters, Courtney Owens and Kristen Brown; twin great-grandsons, Kyle and Grant Owens; a first cousin, Layton Wilson, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bernard Contrella; and her brother, Travis McCullough.

Cremation followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday was held at the First United Methodist Church of Manila. Burial was at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville.
