Three players were in double figures for Riverside as the Lady Rebels cruised past East Poisnett County 61-32 Thursday night in the Tri-County Tournament at Paragould.
Miranda Stephens led the Rebels with 11 points as Keryn Douglas and Amanda Milligan each added 10. Hailey Faulkner contributed 8 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Amanda Jo Churchill had 6 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Others scoring for Riverside were Chelsea Couch with 5, Miranda Boyd with 4, and Amanda Dunigan with 3. Ashley Foster and Consuelo Pollard each contributed 2.
Latia Hendrix from EPC led all players with 12 points.
The Riverside Junior High Girls' Basketball team grabbed a quick lead in the first quarter 10-2 against Crowley's Ridge Academy Thursday night in the Tri-County Tournament. CRA caught up with the Rebels by halftime with a 14-16 lead. After three CRA still had control of the game with a score of 23-22. The Lady Rebels came back in the fourth and won the game 38-26.
Samantha Dunigan led all players with 14 points and pulled down 7 rebounds for the Lady Rebels. Marissa Johnson scored 8 points and also grabbed 7 rebounds for Riverside. Other players scoring for Riverside were Emma Wilson with 6, Emilee Hook with 4, Jona Dixon with 4 and Magan Adams with 2.
