Mildred McDaniel - Lake City

Mildred McDaniel, 83, of Lake City died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2002, at her residence.

She had moved to Lake City 17 years ago from St. Louis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake City.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Homer McDaniel of the home; two daughters, Jean Martin of Lake City and Shirley Wester of St. Louis; two brothers, Thomas Metcalf of St. Louis and Jay Spillman of Linn, Mo.; three sisters, Sue Rogers of Lake City, Ethel Mae Lee of Jasper, Fla., and Edith Cole of Hornersville; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pine Log Cemetery with Scott Miller officiating. Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City was in charge of arrangements.
