Jewell D. Mask - Black Oak

Jewell D. Mask, 74, of Black Oak, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She was a homemaker, member of Black Oak Assembly of God Church, and had lived in the Black Oak and Monette area most of her life.

She is survived by a sister, Sharon Kay Kelly of Oklahoma: five brothers, Gerald L. Hill of Harrisburg, Roy Hill and Oliver Hill, both of Tulsa, Okla., Danny J. Hill and Elvis L. Hill, both of St. Louis, Mo.; three sons, Jimmy D. Mask of Jonesboro, Russell G. Mask of Dallas, Texas, and Gary O. Mask of Jonesboro; a daughter, Melba Collier of Jonesboro; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mask; a daughter, Deloris Ramsey; her parents, Shorty and Frankie Hill; three sisters and two brothers.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Billy Moore officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Doug Stone, Eugene Honeycutt, Ricky Searcy, Ron Huspeth, Jerry Honeycutt and Don Brewer. Grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.
