Ellie Evalena Bidwell - Manila

Ellie Evalena Bidwell, 87, of Manila, the widow of George Lee Bidwell, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Manila, she was the daughter of the late Civille and Lola Patterson Bollinger and had been a lifelong Manila area resident. She was a retired certified nurses assistant at the Manila Nursing Center and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Manila.

She is survived by three step-daughters, Helen Roberson of Fresno, Calif., Bonnie Anthony of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mary Lee Bates of Louisiana: a step-son, George Bidwell, Jr., of Jonesboro; a step-sister, Lennie Rice of Manila; a grandson, Travis King, and a great-granddaughter, Melissa King, both of Rogers.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Lee King.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Assembly of God in Manila with Rev. James Chipman officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors this evening (Tuesday) from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila.
