Guy Ellis Goble, 73, of Leachville, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Aug. 16, 1929, at Carson Lake, he was the son of the late George T. and Ollie (Free) Goble. He had retired from Greenlee Brothers and Co. of Rockford, Ill.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bessie Wandalene Goble, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Mary Goble of Oregon, Ill., and Larry and Candy Goble of Earlville, Ill.; a daughter, Connie Borgman of Hartville, Mo.; a brother and sister-in-law Juril and Nell Goble of Atoka, Tenn.; two sisters, Victoria Artis of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and Minnie Nodine of Laredo, Texas; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Goble, and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Raymond Clark officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Justin Goble, Larry Goble, Tom Goble, Jerry Hicks, Jimmy Hicks, and Brian Winche.
