Edith Pearl Alberson - Leachville

Edith Pearl Alberson, 82, of Leachville, the widow of Arvel Alberson, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at her home. Born at Lebanon, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late William and Amanda Barker Grissom and had been a Leachville area resident for the past 50 years. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald D. Burton of Portland, Oregon, James Leon Burton of Leachville and Danny L. Alberson of Cardwell; five daughters, Bonnie Taylor of Monette, Carolyn Anders of Paragould, Doris Bucher of Mendon, Mich., Alfreda Watson of Paragould and Phyllis Maple of Cardwell; a brother, John Grissom of Decatur, Mich.; two sisters, Exell Taylor and Inell Albers, both of Arbyrd; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Burial was in the LuLu Cemetery.

Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
