Cecil Buster Lunsford - Etowah

Cecil "Buster" Lunsford, 93, of Etowah died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Osceola.

A livelong resident of Etowah, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Brotherhood of Teamsters of Chicago 705.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Lunsford of Etowah; a son, David Lunsford of Salt Lake City; a daughter, Bernice McMillin of Florence, Ala.; a sister, Martha Serat of Payneway; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, a brother and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto. Burial was in Garden Point Cemetery at Etowah.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

The family requests that anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Etowah Baptist Church.
