Owner Dana Towell moved her pet grooming and boarding business to Manila from Leachville.
She opened the business at her home four years ago under the name of Critter Care. The business outgrew her home and she and her husband, Jimmy Towell, started looking for a new location.
They purchased a building on Manila's main street, 204 Baltimore, and started remodeling to fit her business needs. She is easy to find with her large awning displaying the new name of the business.
She was ready to open at her new location the middle of September. Towell offers grooming, boarding, and pet supplies.
She carried a good selection of pet toys, shampoos, combs, brushes, collars, leashes, carriers, bedding, and much more.
Her new business number is (870) 561-3332. Her hours vary by appointments but she plans to be open Tuesday through Saturday.
Occasionally, if there is a "no show" or an appointment cancellation, she is able to take walk-ins but as a rule she grooms by appointment. Many of her customers keep standing appointments for their pets.
Joining Towell in the day to day operation is Dianna Pace who serves as bather and assistant in the business.
City officials and others joined Mrs. Towell for a ribbon cutting and tour of the new building on Friday morning kicking off the two-day open house giving everyone the opportunity to visit the new business.
