Ancel Glover - Lake City

Ancel Glover, 85, of Lake City died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. Born at Enola, he lived at Lake City and was formerly of the Poplar Ridge Community near Monette. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Lunsford Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Glover of the home; two sons, Gaylon Glover and Darrell Glover, both of Lake City; a daughter, Karen Bland of Lake City; a brother, Ernest Glover of Lake City; five grandchildren, Diana Brietz, Gelinda Glover, Darren Glover, Miranda Bland and Jared Bland; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Danny Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Wayne Halsey, Adam Bond, Larry Montgomery, Jeff Spencer, Kenneth Reece and Trent Davis.

Honorary pallbearers were Darren Glover, Jared Bland and Blake Brietz.
