H. W. "Buddy" Warren, 61, of Manila, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Marked Tree, he was the son of the late Ralph and Nina Jane Warren and had been a life long Manila resident. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and for the past 19 years served as maintenance supervisor for the Manila Housing Authority.
He is survived by his wife, Peggie Nelson Warren, of the home; a daughter, Sandra Key Warren of St. Charles, Mo.; a grandson, Dustin Warren of St. Charles; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Judy Warren of Jonesboro and Bill and Barbara Warren of Potosi, Mo.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret "Margie" and Joe Giacondina of Tampa, Fla., Frances and Harold Peek of Jonesboro, and Barbra Kay and Otis Long of Leachville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Warren.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Jim Box officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
Mr. Warren lost his life to lung cancer and his family has requested that anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial to consider the American Cancer Society.
