John David Yancey, Jr. - Manila

John David Yancey, Jr., 44, of Manila, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002 due to injuries received in an auto accident near Manila.

Born at Blytheville, he was a lifelong area resident and attended Manila High School. He was a welder and was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Pauley Yancey of the home; two sons, David Counts of Blytheville and Joseph Yancey of Manila; three daughters, Brandy Yancey of Gosnell, Chasity Yancey Holt of Leachville and Brigette Yancey of Manila; his parents, John and Barber Sue Yancey of Manila; one brother, Jimmy Yancey of Manila and two sisters, Jeanette Lasater and Jodie Brooks, both of Manila.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 29 at 4 p.m. at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with the Rev. Graig Stull officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday evening from 6 until 8:30 at the funeral home.
