Roy Gene White, Jr. - Manila

Roy Gene White, Jr., 37, of Manila, died Sunday due to injuries received in an automobile accident near Manila. Born at West Memphis, he was a resident of Manila for the past 12 years. He attended Rivercrest High School and was a self-employed fabrication contractor and was of the Baptist belief.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Bowen White of the home; a son, Roy Gene White, III of the home; a daughter, Stephanie Michelle White of the home; his mother, Margaret Pruitt of Mt. Pleasant, Miss.; his father and stepmother, Roy Gene and Norma White of Keiser; his paternal grandmother, Una White of Blytheville; his maternal grandmother, Jackie Goodman of Caddo Gap; seven sisters, Charlene Burnett of Manila, Shelly Johnson of Dell, Donna Bell of Keiser, Karen Russ of Bassett, Tammy Welch of Keiser, Rhnea Smith and Amy Reed, both of Bartlett, Tenn.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
