Benefit golf tourney slated for Big Lake

Wednesday, August 7, 2002

Manila Parent Council of the MCA-EOC (USGA) and Big Lake Country Club will be sponsoring a 3-Person scramble on Monday, Aug. 12 at 9 a.m. This tournament is open to all interested. The only stipulation is that a minimum of one junior golfer is to be on each team. A junior golfer is defined as a player between the ages of 8-17 years of age.

The cost of the tournament is $50 per team. The tournament is a benefit fundraiser for the Mississippi County Junior Golf Program. Trophies or plaques will be awarded to the winning teams. If there are junior golfers who are interested in participating in the tournament, but do not have a team, the council will pair them up with a team.

All junior golfers must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The tournament committee cannot take any responsibility for any child that is dropped off. If a junior golfer is dropped off to play in the tournament, they will not be allowed to play.

Persons interested in more information may contact Mr. Cummings at 870-532-2348 ext. 35 or Sandra Sparks at 870-561-4847.
