Donald Lee McElroy, 66, of Monette, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was a retired truck driver and was of the Assembly of God belief. He had lived in the Monette area his entire lifetime.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Earl and Lucille McElroy, and one sister, Donna Jean McElroy.
Survivors include his wife, Mary McElroy of the home; one brother, Jim McElroy of Memphis; three sons, Ronnie McElroy of Knoxville, Tenn., Rickey McElroy of Kansas City, Mo., and Shann McElroy of Monette; and two grandchildren, Chris McElroy and Heather McElroy.
Services were at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette, with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial was at the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
Active pallbearers were Dean McFarlin, Bill Fleetwood, Mike Smith, Bud Hunt, Wallace Harrison and Rickey Copeland.
