Virginia Maxine Hembrey - Leachville

Virginia Maxine Hembrey, 76, of Leachville, died Monday, July 15, 2002, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. Born at Beebe, she had been a Leachville resident for most of her life and was retired from Brown Shoe Company.

Survivors include her husband, Golden Hembrey, of Leachville; a brother, Vernon Cope of Grady; two granddaughters, Tammy Puckett and Shelby Sexton, both of Leachville; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ben Nichols, and daughter, Geraldine Hembrey.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Charles Stoddard officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
