Jesse William Perkins, 74, of Manila died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born at O'Kean, he was the son of the late David and Elizabeth McCain Perkins and had been a Manila resident for the past 30 years. He was a retired furniture dealer and was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Jesse David Perkins of Red Rock, Texas, Gary Wayne Perkins, Larry Dean Perkins and Ronnie Keith Perkins, all of Manila; a daughter, Dovie Davis of Osceola; two brothers, Eugene Perkins of Senath and Leonard Boyd of Farmington, Mo.; two sisters, Juanita Copeland and Laura Keelin, both of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services, under the direction of Howard Funeral Service, will be held at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Manila Cemetery with Bro. Bob Routon officiating.
Pallbearers will be Larry Allen Perkins, Shaun Perkins, Milt Atkinson, Rick Deeds, Bill Sawyer and Tom Jaco.
