Danny Bourland, 62, of Blytheville, died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. Born in the Lost Cane community to Merritt and Estelle Stutts Bourland, he was a lifelong area resident and a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Bourland had farming and agricultural interests and was a former manager of Cotton rowers Gin. He was a financial consultant with A.G. Edwards and Sons in Blytheville prior to his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Wheeler Bourland; two daughters, Layne Bourland of Maumelle and Kelly Boothe and her husband, Tom, also of Maumelle; three brothers, James Bourland of Jonesboro, Larry Bourland of York, Penn., and Freddie Bourland of Keiser; and one grandson, Carson Boothe.
His parents preceded him in death.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Blytheville with Rev. Bill Fuller officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville.
