Clara Pigue Swafford, 86, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, April 27, 2002. Born at Marmaduke, she was a retired nurse for Arkansas Methodist Hospital and Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald Pigue Sr. of Paragould, Harold Pigue of Mabelvale and Ewell Von Pigue of Benton; four sisters, Mary Aletta Hantke of Paragould, Freda Metheny of Moentte, Eula Arnhat of Standford and Lily Barker of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Kenneth Hots of Paragould; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchidlren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Herbert Pigue and Owen Swafford; her parents, John and Ella Hots; a son, a daughter, a brother, and a sister.
The funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould with Marion Gramling officiating. Burial was in Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Pigue, Kenny Pigue, Ron Pigue Jr., Vince Pigue, Marshall Graham and David Pigue.
