Evelyn Lee, 81, of Manila, widow of Youel Lee, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at St. Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro. Born at Amagon, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Henrietta White Turner and was a Manila resident since the 1930's. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Manila.
She is survived by two sons, Lynn Lee and Doyle Lee, both of Manila: two daughters, Joan Gray of Springfield, Oregon and Kay Gentrey of St. Albans, West Virginia; four sisters, Murvis McElhaney of Horn Lake, Miss., Teresa Watkins of Benton, Mary Joiner and Ida Fay Vaughn, both of Carthersville, Mo.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Assembly of God Church in Manila with Rev. James Chipman officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
