Thelma Lorene Moore, 76, of Caraway died Monday, April 22, 2002, at Monette Manor. She was part owner and professional basketball player with the All American Red Heads and a homemaker. She was a member of Caraway United Methodist Church and had lived in the Caraway area most of her life.
Survivors include her husband, Orwell Moore, of the home; two sisters, Imogene Sullivan of Neelyville, Mo., and Mary Miller of Tullulah, La.; two brothers, William Adams of Caraway and Alex Adams of Dallas, Texas; a son, Burnie Orwell Moore, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Tammy Jayne Harrison of Baton Rouge, La.: a granddaughter, Cassie Nelson, and a grandson, Colby Harrison, of Baton Rouge.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Caraway First United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge of arrangements.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
