Heritage Bank of Manila donated $500 to the Manila Lions Club for the city park restroom project which is now underway.
Presenting the check was Mary Jon Ashley, marketing and development officer for Heritage Bank.
"We are pleased to help with this project for the young people and the community," Ashley said.
Jerry Hitchcock, Lions Club secretary and treasurer, accepted the check on behalf of the Lions Club. Hitchcock thanked Heritage Bank for their support.
Hitchcock said the Manila Lions Club, with the support of the community, undertook the project of constructing restroom facilities at the park.
"We are also very appreciative of all of the donations, volunteer labor, and the community that supported the fish fry," Hitchcock said.
The Lions Club held a fund-raising fish fry with all proceeds going to the project.
"This is a project that will benefit our young people as well as all of the Manila citizens and visitors at the city park. We are happy to be a part of it," Hitchcock said.
