Myrtle Taylor, 96, of Lake City died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at the Lakeside Nursing Center. A retired homemaker, she was a member of the Lake City United Methodist Church, a past matron of the Eastern Star and a member of the Order of Amaranth.
Survivors include a daughter Alma Butler of Hermitage, Tenn.; two sons, Paul Taylor, Jr., of Dallas and Myron Taylor of Antioch, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Taylor Sr., and a daughter.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday at Langford's Funeral Service in Jonesboro with the Rev. Sam Long officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
