East Poinsett County (EPC) survived a late rally by Manila to take a 5-4 win in baseball action Friday. Warrior pitcher Bobo Fortneberry picke dup the win as Manila's James King took the loss.
EPC took a 3-0 lead in the first on a double by Fortenberry and base hits by Palmer and Wyatt. The Warriors picked up another run in the second on a hit by McDaniel who reached first on an error.
Manila got on the scoreboard in the second with a base hit by Derek Suiter. A base hit by Matt Noble in the fifth scored Noah Shelton to pull the Lions within three, 5-2.
Suiter's base hit in the seventh was followed by a home run by Shelton to rally the Lions 5-4. Manila was unable to overcome the first inning deficit and fell to conference rival EPC.

Wyatt: two base hits and two RBI's.
Palmer: base hit with RBI.

Manila fell to Gosnell 12-2 despite jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first two innings.
Juan Moyeda led Manila with two base hits. John Hicks and Matt Noble each picked up a base hit with a RBI. Adam Donner and Casey Hill each had a base hit in the game.
