Frances Whittenburg - Monette

Frances Whittenburg, 89, of Monette, formerly of Osceola, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at her residence. She had lived in Osceola for 25 years, was a former volunteer for the senior citizens program and was a charter member of Milligan Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, George Whittenburg of Caraway; two daughters, Irma Gatlin and Ina Presley, both of Caraway; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home at Osceola with the Rev. Charles Flowers officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
