Edwards will seek election

Deloris Edwards, of Monette, has announced her intentions to seek the Democratic nomination for the District 11 Justice of the Peace position, on the Craighead County Quorum Court.

Edwards, a graduate of Monette High School and a lifelong Monette

resident, has been active for a number of years with the Democratic party. She has served 15 years on the Craighead County Democratic

Central Committee, Democratic Women of Craighead County, and also on the State Executive Committee and state chairman.

Edwards has worked for Craighead County in the Circuit Clerk's office and County Clerk's office. She feels that she is experienced in county government and knows the needs of the county.

Edwards has worked for four years at Heritage Bank at Leachville and Monette. She is the widow of Terry P. Edwards and has two sons and six grandchildren.
