Thursday, February 14, 2002

Eddie Dunigan, 51, of Black Oak, announced his candidacy for District 12 Craighead County quorum court.

Dunigan has lived his entire life in Black Oak and considers it an honor to have served on the city council for the past 25 years.

He is married to the former Deborah Whitley, also of Black Oak, and they have four children: Tommy, 26, of Leachville, Johnny Wayne, 24, a second year law student at UALR, Leah Gathright, 24, of Monette, and Rachel, 15, of the home, a student at Buffalo Island Central.

Dunigan has been a science teacher for 28 years, serves as an Elder at the Black Oak Church of Christ, and a member of the Buffalo Island Leadership Group.

"I have always been active in my community and church and would like to bring this experience to the quorum court and represent the eastern district to the best of my ability. Those who know me know that I will diligently serve the people and that they can rest assured that the best possible candidate represents them. I look forward to the challenges that face Craighead County and long to serve on the quorum court," Dunigan said.
