Three players scored in double figures for Manila in the 62-36 win over Harrisburg Tuesday night. Senior Jacob Walker led the Lions with 21 points followed by 16 from senior Michael Tomblin and 10 from senior Kenneth Seyler. Josh McCullough added eight; Mitchell Gammill scored three; John Hicks put in two; and Richard Bowden and Justin Hill hit one free throw each to round out the scoring for the Lions.
Manila jumped out to a 23-9 lead in the first quarter and held on to a 32-19 halftime lead. The Lions continued to roll in the third outscoring the Hornets 13-6 for a 45-25 advantage. Harrisburg was unable to catch the Lions in the fourth as Manila picked up their 22nd victory of the season.
Manila's Junior Lions continued to roll through 3AAA Conference play with a 52-23 win over the Junior Harrisburg Hornets.
Manila was on top 11-6 in the first before holding the Hornets to two points in the second quarter and taking a 23-8 lead into the locker room at the half. A big 19-7 third quarter pushed the Lions advantage to 42-15 allowing Manila's bench to see some playing time in the fourth.
Matt Noble continued to dominate leading MJHS with 11 points. Teammates Jordan Wise and Klayton Seyler followed Noble with eight points each. Others scoring in the win were Boo Grayson six; Josh McDaniel five; Anthony Lancaster four; Jackey Parker four; Larry Reed four; and Kyle Misner two.
