Manila fell to EPC 63-59 despite a fourth quarter rally Friday night. The Lions trailed 19-11 after one and 31-20 at the half. The Lions scored 18 in the third as EPC led 49-38. Manila wouldn't lay down as back to back treys pulled the Lions within five. Patience was on the agenda as Manila worked the ball on offense. Missed free throws for Manila gave the Warriors an edge in the closing minutes of the game.
Josh McCullough scored 22 points to lead MHS followed by 20 from Jacob Walker. Adam Donner scored nine; Ken Seyler hit for six; and Mitchell Gammill added two for the Lions.
Courtney Brown led all scorers with 25 for EPC with Marcus Monk scoring 22.
The Junior Lions came back from a j19-17 halftime deficit to outscore EPC 13-5 in the third for a 30-24 lead. Manila continued to outscore the Warriors 16-13 in fourth taking a 46-37 Conference win.
Manila improved to 11-0 in Conference play and 22-5 overall.
Boo Grayson led MJHS with 17 points followed by 13 from Matt Noble and 12 from Jordan Wise. Anthony Lancaster rounded out scoring with four for the Junior Lions.
