W.C. Tipton, 64, of Caraway died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at his home. He was a cotton gin worker and member of Rowe's Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Tipton of Caraway; two sons, Garland Tipton of Monette and Roy Tipton of Caraway; a daughter, Melissa McKinley of Caraway; two sisters, Edna Tompkins of Pascagoula, Miss., and Florence Boling of Little Rock; five brothers, Marvin Tipton of Trumann, R.C. Tipton of Union Hill, Lonnie Tipton and Bobby Tipton of Hutchinson, Kan., and Palmer Tipton of Marysville, Calif.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Michael Tabor officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery.
