Herbert Henry Davidson - Kennett

Herbert Henry Davidson, 88, of Kennett, Mo., formerly of Cardwell, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett. Born at Gamelia, Ark., he was the son of the late Louis and Bertha Shipley Davidson and was a longtime Cardwell resident. He was the retired Cardwell Chief of Police and was a former Dunlin County Deputy Sheriff. He was a member of the Cardwell First Baptist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Helen Johnson of Bald Knob; six grandchildren, Pat Diamond of Augusta, Debbie Nolen of Jonesboro, Mark Nolen of Punkin Center, Sherrie Eddington of Kennett, Jeffrey Nolen of Cardwell, and Randy Brannum of Augusta; four brothers, Cecil Davidson of Cardwell, Glen Davidson of Cardwell, Freddie Davidson of Paris, Texas, Bobby Davidson of Sweeney, Texas; four sisters, Joyce Malone of Arbyrd, Alamae Pritchard of Paragould, Ruby Huggins of Paris, Texas, and Maxine Sanders of Bakersfield, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florene Phillips Davidson.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service chapel in Leachville. Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Davis Smith, Devin Fisher, Dustin Nolen, Brett Nolen, Gene Kelly, and Mike Diamond.
