Wagner selected for state physicians board

Thursday, December 27, 2001

Tommy Wagner, a Manila High School graduate and fourth year medical student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, has been selected to the board of directors of the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians. He was honored during the annual meeting in Little Rock and was chosen to attend the national conference in Kansas City, Missouri.

Wagner has also been selected to receive a Dorothy Snider Foundation Scholarship. The Dorothy Snider Foundation was created by the late Dorothy Surles, formerly Dorothy Snider, of Manila. Scholarships are awarded to students who excel academically, and preference is given to upperclassmen who plan to reside and practice in Northeast Arkansas.

Tommy is married to the former Kesha Costner of Manila and is the son of Wayne and Charolette Wagner of Manila.
