Elizabeth Jean Clark - Fayetteville

Elizabeth Jean Clark, 78, of Fayetteville, formerly of Leachville, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at Fayetteville City Hospital. Born at Cardwell, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Zelma Garrett Bearden and had lived the past 10 years in Fayetteville. She was a graduate of Leachville High school and was a member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Clark attended Hendrix College and had served in a secretarial position at Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Clark of Austin, Texas, and John Clark of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Donna Davis and Katie Clark, both of Fayetteville; three great-grandchildren, A.J., Jacob and Hannah Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Clark; her daughter, Donna Lou Clark; her brother, former State Senator, John F. Bearden, Jr.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Dr. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Larry Worsham, Mike Bearden, Joe Cullum, Van Ray Hawkins, Mike Taylor and John Edwards.
