Carl Don Battles Jr., 32, of West Memphis died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at his home. Formerly of Etowah, he was a member of the Garden Point Methodist Church in Etowah.
Survivors include a daughter, Annah Battles of Bassett; his father, Carl Don Battles Sr. of West Memphis; his mother, Camilla Clay Battles Koch of Etowah; three sisters, Lisa Battles of Manila, Pattis Wicklund of Gosnell and Carla Ladawn Battles Brumley of West Memphis; and a brother, Clay Brewer of Etowah.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Lepanto with the Revs. Steve Wiseman and Bobby McCool officiating. Burial was in Garden Point Cemetery at Etowah. Murphy Funeral Home of Lepanto was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Keith Mangrum, David Leffler, Brent McKinness, Tim Miller, Jim Langue, Junior Johnson, Al Gossett and Brandon Mangrum.
The family requests that anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the First United Methodist Church or the Garden Point Cemetery Association.
