David Ray Walker, 49, of Monette, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was employed by Monroe Tenneco Automotive of Paragould and was of the Baptist belief. He lived in the Monette area a lifetime.
He is survived by his wife, Rena Walker of the home; a son, Kristin Walker of Monette; two daughters, Sara Walker of Monette and Kristie Minchue of Monette; two sisters, Kathy Archer of Paragould and Debra Moline of Alma, Mich.; and a granddaughter, Kallie Minchue of Monette.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Walker, and mother, Lois Walker.
The funeral was held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Byron Sparkman officiating. Burial was in the Macey Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.
Active pallbearers were Tommy Ray, Frank Kirksey, Marshall Bortor, Andrew Carter, Rex Morton and Frank Castro.
