Clifford Gene Gatewood, 61, of Luxora, died Sept. 3, 2001, at Baptist Hospital in Blytheville. He was born Feb. 17, 1940, was in the U.S. Air Force and a Vietnam veteran. He was of the Baptist faith and employed by C&G Termite Company.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gatewood of Luxora; his mother, Hazel Gatewood of West Memphis; two sons, Clifford Wayne Gatewood of Jonesboro and Martin Kennett Gatewood of Blytheville; three daughters, Deborah Gene Blake of Osceola, Vickie Ann Salomon of Manila and Patricia Lee Keeling of Gosnell; a sister, Lynda Lee Wells of Osceola; three brothers, Billy Don Gatewood of Osceola, Carl Dawain Gatewood and Floyce Douglas Gatewood, both of West Memphis; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Dewayne Gatewood, and a daughter, Angie Gatewood.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
