Gertie Cullen Childress - Monette

Gertie Cullen Childress, 93, of Monette, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at Rosewood Residence in Belden, Miss. A homemaker, she was a member of Monette Church of Christ and had lived in the Monette and Lake City areas most of her lifetime.

Survivors include 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at the Gregg Funeral Home chapel in Monette with Art Smith officiating. Burial will be in Monette Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.
