Donna Sue Bennett, 63, of Leachville, formerly of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center. Born at Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Birchett Keith and was a longtime Jonesboro resident before moving back to Leachville in 1998. She was a 1956 graduate of Leachville High School, serving as valedictorian of her class. She was a past president of the Junior Auxiliary of Jonesboro and former board member of the Craighead County Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and member of the Leachville First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Keith Bennett of Hot Springs; a daughter, Bobbi Bennett Patterson of Little Rock; her mother, Marion "Cricket" Keith of Leachville; a brother, Maxie Keith of Marion, and seven grandchildren, Josh, Kyle, Alex and Zach Bennett, all of Hot Springs, Bennett, Sam and George Patterson, all of Little Rock.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Beanie Keith, in 1966.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville, with the Rev. Tom Bray and Dr. Jimmy Anderson officiating. A private burial followed in Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.
