Hershel Floyd Dewitt - Monette

Hershel Floyd Dewitt, 90, of Monette, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at Monette Manor Nursing Home. Born at Calico Rock, he was the son of the late Lee and Nettie Dewitt and had been a Monette area resident for 40 years. He was a retired farmer and former member of the Nazarene Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Fletcher of Monette and Linda Dunnigan of Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Leman Dewitt of Black Oak; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren and a great-great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Monette Cemetery with Eddie Dunigan officiating. Howard Funeral service of Leachville was in charge of arrangements.
