Myrtle Elizabeth Adams, 81, of Leachville, died Friday, April 27, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was a homemaker, member of the Cockrum Church of Christ and had lived in the Leachville area most of her life.
Survivors include five sisters, Sarah O'Reair and Iris Tillinghast, both of LaPorte, Ind., Martha Hindsley of Kingsburry, Ind., Bobbie Cole of Chesterton, Ind., and June Collings of Elyria, Ohio; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Quincy Adams, three sons, two brothers, five sisters and a grandson.
The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Eddie Dunigan officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ralph Loftin, Sammy McPherson, Bill Grogan, Bill Grogan, Jr., DeWayne Monroe and Robbin Welch.
