Willie Thomas Elinburg - Caraway

Willie Thomas Elinburg, 78, of Caraway, died Monday, April 16, 2001, at Caraway Nursing Center. Born in Sebastopol, Miss., he was a retired blacksmith and welder. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by a daughter, Wilma Kirk, of Etowah; six sons, Willie Elinburg of Belk, Ala., Sam Elinburg of Watson, Ark., Rickey Elinburg of Osceola, John Elinburg of Caraway, Tommy Elinburg of Manila, and Mike Elinburg of Etowah; an adopted son, David Sheppard of Lepanto; two sisters, Aline Jolly of Philadelphia, Miss., and Alice Williamson of Belzonia, Miss.; four brothers, Marvin Elinburg of Philadelphia, Miss., Ray Wilkinson of Quitman, Miss., Malon Wilkinson and Bervan Wilkinson, both of Douglas, Ga.; a host of grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Etowah Pentecostal Church of God with Brother Huey Meherg officiating. Burial was in Potter's Cemetery in Lepanto under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
