Centenarian recalls past 100 years (10/30/03)
Elsie Stewart, a long-time Leachville, native celebrated her Centennial birthday Oct. 21, 2003. Stewart was born in 1903 in Denton, near Imboden. She is the daughter of the late W.J. and Cora Field. Soon after she and Leland Stewart married in 1924, they made their home in Leachville. He was a farmer and worked for Joe Wheeler. Mr. Stewart passed away in 1962.
