Arkansas State University is teaming up with world-famous author John Grisham to host an event that will promote the television movie "A Painted House" and raise funds to benefit the university's newest doctoral program in heritage studies. Big Lake Country Club in Manila was the host site Saturday aftrenoon for a public meeting concerning the ongoing duck blind controversy in northeast Arkansas. In the meeting hosted by the Big Lake Sportsmens Association, Northeast Arkansas Duck Blind Committee members settled on a set of regulations that will allow the duck blinds to remain.
