Some people, like you, are set apart for being change agents. The distinction is that you realize you are changing and all else is, too. Plus, you are changing it all, and it is all changing you. That’s how it is; and, you know it, embrace change as a way of life and love...and that’s OK.
But for whom or what do you set yourself apart for? A spouse, loved one, God...perhaps. Jesus Christ modeled the Way, because He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by Him. Oneness sets Him apart.
To become whole and wholly holy, or righteous, our only hope is to be set apart with, through, by, and because of Christ. Yes, He is our Savior, also our Brother, and also our Best Friend. Jesus loves you and me, each unconditionally, uniquely, as we are. That sets us apart.
Christ is our righteousness, Who triumphs over sin and death. A kingdom of Love and Light has already begun to shine here on Earth, as it is in Heaven. And, Jesus calls us each to citizenship – in His (Grace-full) Kingdom of Love. If we just realized the spiritual warfare that surrounds, we would each flee swiftly alone, or in caravans, to the Kingdom – claiming the freely offered citizenship.
The only barrier, self/pride, to pass is a border we all must cross. That characteristic of you and me (self/pride sin) is common. And it is carrying us to a final destination. As eternal progress continues from this material life to the spiritual realms, where does it ultimately lead? To Jesus’ bright Kingdom, or to a separate place of darkness?
Ah, we will be set apart, one way or another, in this life and the next. Who will rise up for set apart sanctification? Who will spiral down? All Saints Day is Nov. 1st. Saints are set apart, holy.
A favorite is Bart, blind Bart. He knew what he wanted and went for it all. Blind Bart cried out for mercy, loudly, and over and over again even though shushed by others. Jesus heard the angst and asked Bart, “What do you want Me to do for you?” Bart wanted to see. Jesus told him his faith healed him.
Bart’s faith set him apart. Your faith can set you apart. How? By taking belief into action, following the Book. The Word is Truth and the Holy Spirit guides us into that Truth. If we want to be set apart in the best Way, now and forever, then let Jesus change you now!
