Before there was guilt, there was grace:
II Timothy 1:9: Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, (KJV) (Grace is the unmerited love and favor of God for sinners.)
A. Before Man Ever Strayed – Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (KJV) There was grace to bring the lost home.
I Peter 2:24-25 24: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25: For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. (KJV)
B. Before Man Ever Sinned – Romans 3:23-24. 23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24: Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (KJV) There was grace to make him clean.
C. Before Man Ever Became Separated – Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. (KJV) There was grace to reconcile him to God!
Isaiah 59:16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. (KJV)
Isaiah 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD. (KJV)
It is grace that saves – Ephesians 2:8-9. 8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. 9: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (KJV)
Grace is sufficient for all men – Romans 5:20-21. 20: Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. 21: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV)
