I would like to thank everyone who came out for the Veteran Memorial Day Service. Due to weather conditions we had the ceremony inside the courtroom on the third floor. We still had some outdoor activities before going inside.
A special thanks to the American Legion Post 24 and American Legion Post 33. I depend a lot on your help and guidance. Tammy Swanson did an outstanding job with the National Anthem. I also appreciate Mr. Kent Reed who released the white doves, Blytheville Police Department Honor Guard for the gun salute and Taps. Retired Cmsgt. Bobby Rogers gave an excellent speech.
I also appreciate Jimmy Russell for giving the invocation and our local newspapers for their support.
Remember, it is not the date of birth or death date but the dash in-between as to how we live our lives that matters.
Again, thank you veterans and spouses for your support and it is an honor to serve you as your Veteran Service Officer.
